Uitenhage Slip Emergency Repairs

• Appointed by Worley Parsons for South African National Roads Agency (SOC) Limited

• Preparation of an Environmental Management Plan for the proposed stabilization of a cutting face
• Construction auditing during the stabilisation repairs to ensure environmental compliance

Victoria Falls

• Appointed by EECO Fuels to undertake a feasibility study for a Waste to Energy Project in Livingstone, Zambia
• 2012
• The waste stream was assessed with a view to identifying waste types and quantities for a pilot waste to energy project.

Dubeni Stream Bridge

• Appointed by Eyethu Engineers to undertake the Environmental Authorisation and EIA process for a new river crossing on behalf of the Chris Hani District Municipality.
• Work also included obtaining a Borrow Pit Licence in terms of the MPRDA.
• Both the Environmental Authorisation and Borrow Pit permit were successfully obtained in 2011 and 2012.

Eastern Beach Sewers Refurbishment

• Appointed by CBM Africa Engineers to undertake the Environmental Authorisation and EIA process for the refurbishment of the Eastern Beach gravity sewers in East London on behalf of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
• Additional works include applying for forest permits for activities in the coastal forest and in proximity to protected trees.
• The Environmental Authorisation and Forest permits were successful obtained in 2012 and 2013.
• Construction monitoring services are also to be provided.

New Afforestation Proposals in Ugie and Maclear

• Appointed by PG Bison to undertake the Environmental Authorisation and EIA process for proposals to add a further 400ha of commercial forestry in the Ugie and Maclear areas (2013).
• Work is ongoing and will include Water Use Licence applications.
• We are undertaking this project in association with Moira Cloete Consulting.

Upgrading Tourism Facilities on the Ntafufu River

• Appointed by UWP to undertake the Environmental Authorisation and EIA process for proposals to upgrade tourism facilities at Ntafufu River.
• The presence of the activities within a sensitive estuarine environment required extensive specialist studies and additional permits.
• The Environmental Authorisation was successfully obtained in 2012.

New Storage Dam at Ugie

• Appointed by PDNA Consulting Engineers to undertake the Environmental Authorisation and full EIA process for a new 2.7 million cubic meters dam in Ugie (2008-2011).
• Successfully obtained Environmental Authorisation in 2011.

Environmental Profile for Tourism Plan

• Appointed by Urban-Econ Development Economists to assist with the preparation of a Tourism Plan for Mhlontlo Municipality (2011).
• Terreco Environmental cc undertook a broad assessment of the environmental character and sensitivity of the municipality and target areas for tourism development.
• Environmental opportunities and constraints were identified and recommendations made.
